Back-to-school season is here, and we think homework is much more fun with a study buddy by your side, a small, furry, purring kind of study buddy. That’s right… a kitten (or two)!
Right now, Pope Memorial Humane Society is overflowing with kittens. We have so many at the shelter ready for adoption, plus even more in foster homes who are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and waiting to meet their new families.
To help them find homes, we’re hosting a special adoption event:
This Saturday, 12–5 PM (we’re staying open an extra hour!)
All kitten adoption fees are 50% off - just $80!
What’s included in that adoption fee?
- Your new study buddy!
- Microchip
- Certificate for a first free veterinary exam
- All age-appropriate vaccines
- Already spayed/neutered
- A fun go-home bag filled with supplies to help set you up
- A special coupon to Loyal Biscuit!
Additionally, all attendees will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a prize-filled basket filled with pet-themed goodies.
The PMHS community room will be transformed into kitten central, giving you the chance to meet your future best friend—and maybe even bring home a pair. We’ll also have snacks for visitors and a few fun activities for kids.
Pro tip: To make the process smooth, complete your adoption application in advance at www.PopeHumane.org. If you don’t have a preapproved application, please bring proof of rabies vaccination for any pets in your home, and if you rent, a note from your landlord confirming that kittens are allowed.
This Saturday is the perfect opportunity to add some joy (and just the right amount of furry chaos) to your family and give one (or more) of these nuggets the forever home they’ve been waiting for.
