The Twilight River Run, presented by Riddell National Bank, takes place Friday, July 25 at Fairbanks Park. Participants can choose a 1-mile run/walk or a 5k run/walk. This is a NIGHT race. The 1-mile starts at 9:30 p.m. and the 5k starts at 10 p.m.
Register by July 19 to guarantee a special glow-feature shirt. Race day registration will be available (shirts NOT included).
Packet pick-up will take place Friday, July 25, from 8 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at the YMCA.
The Twilight River Run also features a high school team event for boys and girls, where teams of at least four can compete for cash prizes for their school running programs. The top four finishers from each team will determine placements.
First place teams will win $250, and 2nd place teams will receive $100. There’s also a school spirit award for the best team attitude & attire.
Additionally, awards will be given in various categories, including overall and age group (1-3 awards per group based on pre-registration). Walker awards will be based on finish order for registered walkers. *Walking the entire event is required for walker award eligibility.
Proceeds from the event support the WVRR scholarship program, which awards two scholarships to exceptional student athletes annually.
