2025 Midwest Transition Institute for Youth who are DeafBlind

The Indiana DeafBlind Services Project, in partnership with other state DeafBlind Projects, the Helen Keller National Center and the National Center on DeafBlindness will host the Midwest Transition Institute. It will be held at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN. This year’s theme will be Expect, Engage and Empower. This weekend is designed to help participants: 1. set high Expectations and create a plan to meet them using person centered planning. 2. get Engaged in the process of planning, with other young adults, with deafblind role models and with the information, resources and skills needed to reach their expectations. 3. Become Empowered to advocate for themselves, their needs and their desires.
