9/11 Remembrance Run/Walk

In honor of September 11, we will leave from Fire Station #8 (Fruitridge Avenue, near Deming Park) and head south down Fruitridge to Ohio Blvd and turn west on Ohio Blvd to the 9/11 memorial at 19th and Ohio. The run/walk will take place at 8:15 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

A silent prayer will be observed at 8:46 a.m., the time when the first plane hit the World Trade Center. We will then return east down Ohio Blvd and back down Fruitridge to Station 8. A few flags will be available to carry along the route. Feel free to bring your own.

This same route will be repeated at 5:30 p.m. to allow those who can't attend the 8:15 time. Run, walk or bike! Park at Deming Park or across the street at St. Mark's Church (do not park at the fire station).
