A Painted Self Portrait with Sara Lee Hughes

Join us for an exploration of famous self-portraits, where you'll also create your own using a photo reference! Students will receive guidance on drawing techniques, color theory, color mixing, as well as tips on proportion and alignment.

Have you ever wondered how to bring a self-portrait to life? Or why someone might want to create one? If you're interested in drawing faces, including your own, come and join Sara Lee in a fun and creative classroom environment. Together, we'll look at examples of famous self-portraits and enjoy the process of making your own.

Don't forget to wear your paint clothes! The instructor will provide pencils, paints, brushes, paper palettes, water, Sharpies, and handouts with examples.
