We have designed two creative and comprehensive Woodcraft courses — Level 1 and Level 2 — to help you deliver high-quality, engaging Forest School and Forest Skills sessions with confidence.
Each level has distinct content and outcomes, equipping you with the practical skills, knowledge and understanding needed to safely introduce woodcraft activities to children and young people of all ages and abilities. The focus is on good practice: choosing the right wood, selecting and using tools appropriately, and understanding how to manage risk so outdoor learning is both safe and meaningful.
These skills matter because well-planned woodcraft activities build confidence, problem-solving, resilience and fine motor skills in pupils. When delivered well, they often become some of the most memorable and valued sessions children experience outdoors.
You will leave with a clearer understanding of tools, materials and safe methods, and the confidence to turn woodcraft into a purposeful and enjoyable part of your Forest School provision.
