Telford Walk Week: Silkin Way Coalport to Town Park 1 June

The Silkin Way from Coalport to the Town Park is a lovely walk, Now you can enjoy it on a free led social walk with a free bus back to the start in Coalport on the Telford Big Walk starting at 1pm Sunday 1 June. It's easy to follow, on good surfaces most of the way and full of interest with old railway stations and tunnels, ruined windmills and tree lined paths through parks and woods. Starting from Silkin Way Wheel, Coalport, High St, Coalport, Telford TF8 7HZ, Telford Big Walk Route 4 goes from Coalport following the Silkin Way for 4.5 miles to Telford Town Park to arrive about 3 pm where free light refreshments will be available at a celebratory get together in the Visitor Centre and you can get a free bus back to Madeley or Coalport too! This is part of Telford and Wrekin Council's Telford Walk Week. The whole family are welcome, so dogs on leads are welcome too. You need to register on the walk and pre book your free place on the bus from the Telford T50 events and sales page (see webs link in comments)
