Join us for a spectacular day of high-flying fun at the Atchison County Library’s inaugural Books & Breezes Community Kite Festival! This free, family-friendly event brings the community together to celebrate reading, creativity, and the excitement of flight—all while supporting the new Atchison County Library facility in Rock Port, opening in 2026.
🎈 Kite-Themed Activities:
🪁 Giant Kite Show – Experience the awe of massive, breathtaking kites soaring high, presented by Northwest Missouri s own Great American Kites & Events.
🪁 Public Kite Flying – Bring your own kite or grab one on-site to fly alongside fellow enthusiasts.
🎨 Kite-Making Workshop – Kids can design and decorate their own paper kites for free!
🛍 Retail Kite Store – Take home the fun with a variety of kites available for purchase.
