Discover the Art of Code: Join Our Free Google Code Next Summer Camp at UNM Taos HIVE!
STEMarts Lab is thrilled to announce our first Google Code Next Summer Camp, a free creative coding experience for high school students (ages 14-18)! Happening July 16–19, 2025 from 11AM–4PM at the UNM Taos HIVE, this four-day camp invites young creators to explore the world of computer science through the lens of art, animation, and generative design.
This summer intensive is part of STEMarts Lab’s new partnership with Google Code Next, an initiative designed to make computer science education more accessible and inspiring for the next generation of creative thinkers.
Over the course of four days, students will:
> Dive into core programming concepts like variables, loops, and interactivity
> Design original animated sketches and generative art
> Build confidence in a collaborative, inclusive learning environment
> Receive a Google Code Next T-shirt and a Certificate of Completion from Google (for students who attend all sessions)
> Get connected to future STEMarts internships and creative team opportunities
Spaces are limited. No cost. Includes lunch, snacks, and materials.
