Dylan Cotrone cooks up the kinds of songs that make you feel like you’re on vacation, no matter what the weather is like outside. This is music for dipping out of work early, rolling down the windows, and kicking it with your best friends (or crush) without a care in the world. Guitar in hand, the Florida singer and songwriter bottles sunshine, spirit, and soul within tightly woven anthems uplifted by eloquent instrumentation and vocals so ethereal they’re almost weightless. As a kid in Bradenton, FL, Dylan vividly recalls falling in love with guitar by hearing his dad play. Eventually, he inherited his old man’s guitar book and taught himself via YouTube. In order to process the complexities of moving away to college, he opted to write as many songs as he could in his dorm room at Florida State University. He initially ignited TikTok with covers, including a particularly viral rendition of Zach Bryan’s “Burn, Burn, Burn.” He parlayed this momentum into originals, dropping the fan favorites “Lazy” and “Cigarette.” During 2024, his Dog House EP buzzed as the title track reeled in over 1 million Spotify streams and counting. After building buzz, he uncorks a flurry of good feelings and vibes on his 2025 EP Weekend Religion [Columbia Records].
