For the evening of May 22nd we have managed to gather a fantastic twosome of prominent ensembles welcoming Omni Selassi, an anarchy lustful trio from Switzerland and the wonderful Hello Killu who do not need any introduction to the local enthusiasts.
Somewhere by the sea, which spills between me and you, the old factory stands and rusts, as a disgrace, a disgrace to the harmony of sunset and spray and emptiness. Someone painted “Omni Selassi” on the wall of the building before disappearing forevermore and with him the language we spoke. We're left with two words and the drums, the stuff, the cables, the voice - to understand where we actually come from.
The three-piece Omni Selassi was brought together by Rea Dubach in 2019. In a flash of inspiration – for what hardly anyone would have expected at the time: since then, the band from Biel, Bern, and Leipzig with Rea Dubach (voc, git, efx), Mirko Schwab (dr, electroharp, git) and Lukas Rutzen (dr, perc, bass) has been chased from one stage to the next. Rarely does the same thing happen twice: Omni Selassi plays on to musical doom. And nothing remains as it was: split and disassembled, symbiotic, androgynous, kaleidoscopically polytoxic. Two drummers meet a singer, a guitar and all kinds of other stuff, knickknacks, shenanigans. Pop, grunge, ritual, punk, never as dogma, always as an attempt at failing.
Or different: Once upon a time and one has always pretended as if. Until at the end, when all drums collapsed into eachother, somewhat weirdass sticks, not really working at all and devices for noise and guitars and a little prank, the voice always suppressing a little laugh.
It's a bit of a dump, this band, imagine a car too small, the dog needs to sit somewhere and for the thousandth time something falls apart, you need to phone Texas for a replacement piece for Christ's sake or see whether there is something stored somewhere in some hole. Yes and then there is schnaps, yes and then there's an argument and a music of unfulfilled dreams, it's possible to be on the quest for something until the end, throughout this crap life, and probably preferably together, within this crooked triangle. Far into the night everyone gets along again and accidentally invents a wondrous language, folded onto a sofa in the furthermost attic or truck without windows. And the dog urinating polytox, in the place where it's the most beautiful.

Hello Killu is a noise rock duo formed in Tallinn in 2012. The duo consists of Hello Upan (bass/vocals/songwriter) and Killu Sukmit (drums/vocals/songwriter). Since 2017, they have been participating as musicians in various sound and contemporary dance collaborations, and in 2018, they created original music for the dance performance "Olmeulmad 2". They have also been members of other bands such as Extrafine and Paul Cole & Ring My Bell. Hello Killu has performed at venues like Ro-Ro Club in Narva and SO36 Club in Berlin. In 2024, Hello Killu released their third album, LP "Making Your Unknown Known".
