All proceeds will go to the North Florida and Panhandle American Foundation for Suicide Prevention The Story Behind Roll Through the Darkness Roll Through the Darkness was born out of both heartbreak and hope.

In our community, we’ve felt the deep pain of loss—lives taken too soon by suicide, and the silent struggles many face in the shadows. Each story, each name, each life matters. And too often, those who are hurting don’t know where to turn, or feel they have to face it alone.

This event is our response. It’s our way of saying:
You are not alone. Your life matters. And there is always hope.

We wanted to create a space that feels different. Not clinical. Not heavy. But filled with light, movement, and connection—a place where people of all ages can come together to honor those we've lost, uplift those still fighting, and shine a light on the importance of mental health.

Skating became the perfect symbol. When we roll forward—together—we find rhythm, healing, and joy. We move through darkness, toward light. Each lap skated is a tribute. Each glow stick worn is a sign of remembrance. Each conversation sparked is a seed of change.

This event isn’t just about raising awareness. It’s about creating a movement. One where mental health is talked about, not hidden. One where community means showing up for one another. One where every life is seen, valued, and celebrated.
