We are excited to announce an important update to our 76th Annual Awards Jamboree, proudly sponsored by Champions First Credit Union, taking place on Tuesday, December 2nd.
We are honored to welcome Warrick Dunn—National Champion, All-American, 1st Round NFL Draft pick, Walter Payton Man of the Year, 12-year NFL veteran, humanitarian, and Seminole Great—as our keynote speaker and special guest. This will be Mr. Dunn’s first visit to our historic club and has been longtime in the making.
The Awards Jamboree is the Club’s signature annual event, dedicated to celebrating excellence in high school and collegiate athletics across the Tallahassee region. This year, we will present approximately ten prestigious awards to standout student-athletes representing our ten local high schools and two universities.
Among the honors to be awarded are:
• The Bobby Bowden Head Coach of the Year
• The Charlie Ward Offensive Player of the Year
• The Mickey Andrews Defensive Player of the Year
• The Peter Warrick Receiver of the Year
• The Gene Cox Scholar-Athlete of the Year
• The Monk Bonasorte Heart Award
• The Jake Gaither Sportsmanship Award, and more.
Warrick Dunn’s presence promises to make this year’s Jamboree one of the most memorable nights in our club’s long and storied history. With such a special guest and a celebration of the incredible accomplishments of our local student-athletes, we anticipate a sold-out event.
