Community Fun Day

We are excited to invite you to the annual Community Fun Day and Open House on Sunday, August 24, 2025, hosted by the Takoma Park Seventh-day Adventist Church.

This free event is our way of celebrating the wonderful community we share and saying “thank you” for being our neighbors. We hope you’ll stop by and join your neighbors for an afternoon of family fun — including vegetarian hot dogs, fresh popcorn, lemonade, a baked goods competition, a pie eating contest, a dunk tank, a petting zoo, face painting, a photo booth, relaxing chair massages, and more. Everything is free, and everyone is welcome!

The festivities will run from 11:00am until 3:00pm, with an open house at the church from 2:00-3:00pm.

Please note: To ensure everyone’s safety during the festivities, Laurel Avenue between Carroll Avenue and Eastern Avenue NW will be closed to vehicle traffic from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM on August 24. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we make this a safe and enjoyable day for all.
