Saturday Winter Swim (or run/walk) 🥶

Meet from 7am
In the water at 7:15am

Meet at the toilet block on The Strand in Takapuna ready to swim at 7:15am. You will be asked to sign in for health and safety.

Walkers and runners can start and finish here then join us for coffee.

Swimmers
You will need goggles and a swim cap, so you are visible to others in the water.
A tow float is also recommended but not mandatory.
The club has some spare swim caps and goggles so if you need to borrow some please arrange this ahead of time.

The main group swims the yellow buoy line.
The beginners group stay with me. We go out as far as people are confident with and I am happy to help with and questions you might have.

BEGINNER GROUP!
We have a small group for new swimmers. We will stay closer to the shore depending on ability and confidence. Anyone starting out or who has never done an open water swim, this is for you.

It is getting COLD 🤣 Might be time to try out your wetsuits! If you want to stay a bit warmer, try a rash top or similar under your wetsuit and 2 swim caps.
