Grit City Groove/Tahoma Hoppers Summer Bootcamp

Grit City Groove and the Tahoma Hoppers are teaming up this summer for a dance team training season! We'll be working on everything from the fundamentals of lindy hop choreography, to formation skills, to tricks!

We are holding mock auditions (every couple will get in this time!) on June 24 from 8-9:30pm at Avelon Ballroom, 2315 6th Ave, Tacoma, during our usual rehearsal time. Auditions are open to anyone! We ask that you come with a partner that you'd like to work with throughout the season. We'll be doing some things that require trust (and maybe even a little homework) so you'll want to have a designated dance buddy.

The format will feel a bit like a free dance workshop. You'll be learning a bit of lindy hop choreography alongside the other auditioners, and then performing it in small groups for each other.

This special summer season runs from June 24 - September 2, and will culminate in a group performance at T-Town on September 4th!
