As promised: Two workshops in August to introduce you to the basics of Flamenco dancing. You will learn to move your hands and arms in the Flamenco style, as well as the basic components of footwork. The basics of Flamenco rhythms and clapping will also be explained. This will serve those interested either in simply learning these basic info, or actually joining my Level I class in September. Ideally participants will take both workshops, they are conceived as a series.
Two Dates:
•Wednesday, August 13, 6:30pm
•Tuesday, August 26, 6:30pm
Location: Tacoma Urban Performing Arts Center, located at 1105 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Tacoma, WA 98405.
Cost: $15 in cash each session.
Attire: Comfortable clothing and shoes with a little heel, something like a “character shoe” would be ideal.
