AS YOU LIKE IT presented by Tacoma Little Theatre Summer Camps

Shakespeare's As You Like It is a delightful pastoral comedy that explores themes of love, identity, and the complexity of human nature. Set in the Forest of Arden, the play follows Rosalind, the witty and resourceful daughter of the banished Duke, as she flees court life and disguises herself as a man named Ganymede. Alongside her cousin Celia, Rosalind embarks on a journey of self-discovery and romantic intrigue. The play features a colorful array of characters, including the melancholy Jaques, the lovesick Orlando, and the comic fool Touchstone, all of whom navigate the highs and lows of love and identity in a world where appearance and reality often blur. Shakespeare’s exploration of gender roles, the transformative power of love, and the contrast between city life and the natural world make As You Like It both entertaining and thought-provoking. With its famous "All the world's a stage" speech, the play remains a timeless reflection on life's roles and the human experience.

Performances are Friday, August 8th at 7pm, and Saturday, August 9th at 1pm THESE PERFORMANCES WILL BE AT HILLTOP HERITAGE MIDDLE SCHOOL
