Fyrsta soloverkætlanin hjá Jákupi Tórgarð. Hendan verkætlan hevur lagt seg eftir at bróta upp úr nýggjum. Verkini eru skrivað við tí í huga at blanda ymsar øðrvísi klassiskar og rytmiskar greinar saman. Tónleikagreinar sum impressionisma, minimalisma, fólkatónleikur og jassur verða blandaðar til eitt nýtt ljóð. Tónleikurin er partvíst gjøgnumskrivaður, men leggur eisini nógv upp til improvisatión innan teir karmar, ið verkini føra fram.
Um hesa verkætlan sigur Jákup Tórgarð, “Eg havi í longri tíð hugsavnað meg um at duga hondverkið á klaverinum. Nú vil eg taka tað burturúr, sum mær sjálvur dámar og skapa okkurt persónligt og nýtt.”

SUMMARTÓNAR 2025: Jazz 🎶
Welcome to Jákup Torgarð’s solo debut.
With this project, he takes his first steps into new territory. The compositions aim to blend elements from classical and rhythmic music. Styles such as impressionism, minimalism, folk music, and jazz meet and merge in the search for a personal and contemporary expression.
The music is partly through-composed but also leaves room for improvisation – within the framework set by each piece.
About the project, Jákup Torgarð says:
“For a long time, I’ve focused on learning the craft of the piano. Now, I want to explore what I personally enjoy and create something that feels personal and new.”
