KoYaMan is a musical group consisting of oud (Kostas Tsarouchis), Percussion set (Yannis Rizopoulos), Kanun (Manolis Christodoulou). The influences of the group are from the traditional music of Greece and the wider region of the eastern Mediterranean. But what characterizes the personality of the band is the use of electric and electronic instruments (pedals, loops, samples and electronic sounds from pads) that create a psychedelic patchwork that sometimes refers to rock and sometimes to electronic (drum n base, darkwave, dub) soundscapes. Also, characteristic are the bold arrangements in, sometimes, strict musical forms, which are supported in such a way that they create a pleasant impression on the listener. The comfort and humour in the band’s on-stage appearances along with all the above form the final personality of the band and create the ‘persona’ of KoYaMan. In the one year that the band exists, they have already performed in big stages and festivals among Greece and Istanbul. They have also released a mockumentary ( ?si=Vwm-et7fn2aEJ84T ) which outlines the band and are in the process of recording their first album.

Οι ΚωΓιαMan είναι ένα μουσικό σχήμα που αποτελείται από ούτι (Κώστας Τσαρούχης), κρουστά (Γιάννης Ριζόπουλος), και κανονάκι (Μανώλης Χριστοδούλου). Οι επιρροές του σχήματος είναι από την παραδοσιακή μουσική της Ελλάδας και της ευρύτερης περιοχής της ανατολικής Μεσογείου. Όμως αυτό που χαρακτηρίζει την προσωπικότητα του σχήματος είναι η χρήση ηλεκτρικών και ηλεκτρονικών μέσων (πετάλια, λούπες, samples και ηλεκτρονικοί πειραγμένοι ήχοι από pads) που δημιουργούν ψυχεδελικό συνονθύλευμα που άλλοτε παραπέμπει σε ροκ και άλλοτε σε ηλεκτρονικά (drum n base, darkwave, dub) ηχοτοπία. Χαρακτηριστικές επίσης είναι οι τολμηρές διασκευές σε, κάποιες φορές, αυστηρές μουσικές φόρμες, οι οποίες όμως υποστηρίζονται με τέτοιον τρόπο που δημιουργούν έναν ευχάριστο εντυπωσιασμό στον ακροατή. Η άνεση και το χιούμορ στις εμφανίσεις του σχήματος πάνω στη σκηνή, μαζί με όλα τα παραπάνω, σχηματίζουν και την τελική προσωπικότητα του σχήματος και δημιουργούν την ‘περσονα’ των ΚωΓιαMan. Στον έναν χρόνο της ύπαρξής του, το συγκρότημα έχει ήδη εμφανιστεί σε εκπομπές της ελληνικής ραδιοφωνίας, καθώς και σε μεγάλες σκηνές και φεστιβάλ ανά την Ελλάδα και την Κωνσταντινούπολη. Επίσης έχουν κυκλοφορήσει ένα mockumentary το οποίο σκιαγραφεί την μπάντα ( ?si=Vwm-et7fn2aEJ84T ) και είναι στη διαδικασία εγγραφής του πρώτου τους άλμπουμ.
