Sylvania Writes Out Loud: Poetry Slam

Join us at Olive's on Main (5629 Main St.) for downtown Sylvania's monthly poetry slam as part of Red Bird Sylvania's First Friday events! (Because of the July 4th holiday, events are being held on the second Friday in July.)

To participate in the slam, bring three of your best original poems (max. 3 minutes per poem); sign-up begins at 5:30 p.m. The slam starts at 6 p.m.

NEW for JULY! We'll have a featured performer to keep you entertained between poetry slam rounds. Our July feature is singer-songwriter Cindy Slee ( https://cindysleemusic.com/).

Not a poet? No problem! Come to listen and cheer on the poets!

A poetry slam is a friendly and fun competition. Volunteers from the audience will be the poetry slam judges! No experience necessary.

All ages and experience levels welcome!
