Wildwood Preserve, Metroparks Hall
Reservations Required, Fee: $75
Calling all homeschoolers- Discover our Nature Hall of Fame and celebrate the incredible species that play essential roles in our park district's ecosystem. Through engaging hands-on activities and guided nature walks, homeschoolers will explore the fascinating adaptations, behaviors, and contributions of key plants and animals that thrive in our parks. Students are grouped into classes by age and ability level (5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14 year old's) and meet once a month for the school year. Each month focuses on a different topic highlighting a different "MVP" of the natural world, and culminates with an optional project fair.
Choose from the Friday morning session (10:30 a.m. - Noon) or Friday afternoon session (1:30 to 3 p.m.). This program series meets at Wildwood Preserve Metropark. Students should dress for the weather, as the majority of the program is held outside.
