Patricia Kyritsi Howell: Medicinal Plants of the Southern Appalachians

Join us for a book signing with herbalist Patricia Howell at City Lights on Saturday, June 7th at 3:00pm.

Patricia will talk about the rich botanical diversity of our region and sign her new book "Medicinal Plants of the Southern Appalachians: Second Edition." This book, uniquely designed for herbalists, foragers, and native plant enthusiasts, features over 200 color photographs and detailed information about 44 medicinal plants native to the Southern Appalachians. It's a celebration of our local botanical heritage, with information about each plant's historical and current uses, harvesting guidelines, recipes and more.

Patricia Kyritsi Howell is an herbalist with a profound understanding of the medicinal plants of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. She is the director of the BotanoLogos School of Herbal Medicine in Rabun County, Georgia and has over 30 years of experience as a clinical herbalist working with regional plants.
