Textures With Watercolor (Adding Interest to Your Paintings) Workshop Supply List
This list is a suggestion of what to bring for the workshop.
Not every color or brush is necessary; this is what I use for the watercolor class.
Please bring any watercolor set-up you use, either a palette with tube colors or a set of cake colors (I will also bring extra cake watercolor sets and open palettes).
I will provide other ”Optional Supplies”, however if you own them feel free to bring them, but don’t make a special purchase.
I will bring photo reference to work from, but please feel free to provide images if you choose.
Make sure to have quality watercolor paper, I like Arches 140 lb. or comparable ~ any size.
Watercolor Supply List ~ don’t make special purchase, it’s all-flexible.
Paper: 140 lb. watercolor block or pad, hot press paper,
Watercolor: any brand comparable to Windsor Newton, in the following colors: Cadmium red-warm, Alizarin crimson, Cadmium orange, Cadmium yellow light, Cadmium yellow deep, Ultramarine blue, Prussian blue, Hooker’s green, Sap green, Viridian, Burnt sienna, Raw umber, Sepia and Paine’s gray.
Palette: any variety that has enough bins to hold at least 6 to 8 mixing areas.
Brushes: Round natural or synthetic #4, #6, or #8; small flat (chiseled edge) half inch or less in width; 1-inch flat natural or synthetic (optional); very small round either #0 or #1
Pencils, eraser, paper towels, cups/jars for water, x-acto knife, tracing paper and masking or artist tape.
Optional Supplies
Old toothbrush
Colored pencils, watercolor or regular
Pentel Clic Eraser
White acrylic paint
Masking fluid
