About the event

Literature Clubhouse: Jeanette Winterson
Literature Clubhouse aims to be a 'third-space' for young people in their 20s to share a love of literature. Come along to our latest meet!

About this Event

Welcome to our latest event happening at Since I Left You (SILY), a bar and restaurant in Sydney's CBD! This month we read Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit by Jeanette Winterson.

IMPORTANT: This month we're doing something extra by attending the Sydney Writer's Festival (SWF)! Jeanette Winterson will be talking at Town Hall for the 40th Anniversary of Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit, with tickets to the talk being sold separately to this event. Tickets start at $40, or 35 for concession card holders, and the talk is held from 6pm - 7pm. Following this, we'll be heading down the street to SILY (around 5 minute walk) for our book club discussion. You can find ticket sales and more information about Jeanette Winterson's talk on the SWF website. We really hope you can join us for this part of the monthly meet! Get in quick because tickets will sell out quickly.

For those new to Literature Clubhouse, we are a growing bookclub that focusses on classic, philosophy, and feminist literature. If you're in your 20s and looking for a third-space to meet likeminded people, make new friends, and enjoy some good food and drink, then come along to our monthly meet-ups.

Please aim to have read (or have at least started reading) the book before coming to the event as it helps facilitate a more lively conversation. If you couldn't get to it or signed up last minute thats fine too! We'd still love to see you there.

The booking is under the name 'Nafisa Yashfee'. Please make sure not to arrive early as we need time to prepare your fun evening!

Please note, tickets to the SWF meeting are sold separately and not included in this sale.
