As part of the Old Town Gasworks Sunday Socials Beer & Country Festival in association with Broadtown Brewery we are pleased to be able to bring you an afternoon of fantastic Live Music on a second stage on Devizes Road.
Acts playing live are:
JOL ROSE (1.15pm)
Depending on his mood, you might encounter a serious, Americana-infused troubadour or an upbeat, singalong cheerleader, but whichever you get, you are in for a treat. Come for the discerning dustbowl diatribes; stay for the danceable ditties.
STEVE PAGE (2.15pm)
More often seen fronting Blind Justice Page, Steve takes inspiration from the past to bring a set of old-time country, folk and blues that neatly flits between humour and tragedy.
M3G (3.15pm)
Taking a core of acoustic traditions, M3G cocoons timeless sounds with all manner of tones and textures to bring things bang up to date. She adds her captivating, ethereal vocals to create a sound that walks a fine line between folk grace, indie cool and dream-pop poise.
DAVID CORRIGAN (4.15pm)
Armed with a faithful, if slightly battered acoustic guitar the former Astral Pony frontman is stepping out solo playing acoustic Pony classics, country-tinged laments and dusty old folk songs.
JP OLDFIELD (5.15pm)
JP Oldfield embodies the spirit of a traveling juke joint throw out from a bygone era, offering a distinctive blend of melancholic deep south blues and Old Time Country with a touch of vaudeville satire.
