Camping at CHAPs (Collingham Horse Adventure Park) near Newark, Notts.
This camp is based on a fun, friendly, confidence building weekend camping away with your horse. Everything is aimed at being calm, laid back with no pressure, in a group of like-minded people.
Arrivals from Friday afternoon 5pm-7pm to settle in and set up for the weekend (anyone hiring a cabin can arrive earlier for check-in but I will not be there). Welcome to go for an evening hack if you wish.
Sessions are usually around 3 hours riding/with the horses each day plus a talk/demo/theory of some kind.
Training sessions will include full use of the adventure course both days in-hand and ridden as well as other group sessions such as trick training, groundwork, liberty, groundwork to riding exercises, drill riding/games and some of my more difficult mobile obstacles/balance sessions.
Exact sessions and full itinerary will be sent out in a welcome pack nearer the date.
Sessions are a mixture of in-hand and/or ridden.
Horses will be paddocked overnight, please bring your own electric fencing kit to made your paddock.
Camps will be limited to up to roughly 14 people and groups of around 4 horses per group (up to 3 similar ethos instructors per camp depending on camp numbers).
