Box Turtle Trek

Celebrate National Eastern Box Turtle Week at the park as you get to learn about our very own state reptile! You will hear about ways to identify the species and any conservation efforts there are to help protect them. We will be going for a hike to look for these turtles as part of our survey for the Box Turtle Connection– a 100-year survey that is helping us better understand this species. Meet at the Visitor Center back deck.

Hike: 0.5 miles, easy
