To celebrate the amazing person that Nicola was, we are holding a garden party at our house, in the style of some of our previous parties. This is something that both Nicola and I had said we would want, should one of us pass away early. After such a sad and difficult year, this is to be a happy celebration, where we remember the good times, and forget the bad.
There will be live music from local band, Everyone Knows Dave. There will be a hog roast, maybe a small bonfire, and a few drinks and a hopefully some good conversation bit of dancing. Sadly, the best party organiser we know isn’t around to help, but we’re going to do our best to make her proud.
Between the music, there will be an opportunity for friends and family to share some of their best memories of Nicola, however outrageous! If you would like to say something, please could you let Kieran know so he can include you in the running order. There will also be a book of memories where you can leave written memories, either handwritten or printed, hopefully with a few photos and illustrations!
We would love as many friends and family as possible to attend and to enjoy the occasion. Please let us know if you’re attending by clicking yes, no or maybe, so we can try to ensure there is enough food.
Please bring your own drinks, and a camp chair, if you plan to sit down. There are no specific arrangements for parking, so please find a space somewhere in the village, or better still, get a taxi. Some of us will be congregating for Lunch on the Saturday at the Appleby Inn. If you would like to find us there, please feel free to make your own arrangements. If you mention Nicola, when booking, they have promised to try and seat us all in the same area.
We will also be available at the house on the Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning for anyone who’d like to call in.
