Southwest of Ovalau, Moturiki is truly off the beaten track and home to the earliest Lapita sites of Fiji and also where the oldest human skeleton was found dating about 3000 years. See for yourself what it's truly like to live the island life without the electricity and cars!
We’ll be staying at Kauwai Retreat, a cozy adventure and relaxation retreat on the Southwest corner of Ovalau. The hike with a local guide takes about 4 hours and has a nice elevation profile for beginners. We'll end the hike with a visit to Naicabecabe Village where they will host you for lunch and kava and a bit of fun :)
We'll return on Sunday afternoon. You can use the morning for ocean activities, relaxation or visiting the UNESCO World Heritage site Levuka, Fiji’s old capital.

📍Pick up time to be confirmed (Suva City) by 2:30pm (car pool, taxi or bus) to Natovi Jetty (arrive by 4pm) to catch the Powerboat.
💲Cost: F$370 (accommodation, meals, Hike, Ovalau-Moturiki transfer and Guide) plus Powerboat (or ferry) Natovi Jetty to Ovalau ($60 ferry or $99 powerboat, return). Additional cost of public transport/taxi Suva to Natovi (if car pool isn’t available).
