Portraits in Acrylics - Drawing and Painting Faces

Take your art to the next level! In this six-session course, students will explore the art of drawing and painting faces, building skills in proportion, anatomy, and expression.

With guidance from instructor Cony Urroz, you’ll practice mixing skin tones, applying chiaroscuro, and refining facial features, all while developing a complete acrylic portrait with depth and character.

Course outline:
Class 1: Proportions & head structure basics (drawing + simple underpainting)
Class 2: Chiaroscuro & skin tone mixing in acrylics
Class 3: Painting facial features I – eyes & nose
Class 4: Painting facial features II – mouth, ears & hair
Class 5: Gesture drawing & figure proportions
Class 6: Completing a full acrylic portrait with depth and detail
Note: Teenagers under 18 may participate with prior authorization from the instructor.
