Emily Shirley, a classically trained pianist who reshaped her musical direction after moving to Austin in 2006, brings her poignant indie pop songwriting to our patio. With songs like “Search for Life” and “Build Me a Boat,” Emily creates unexpected delights through backing harmonies, instrumental embellishments, and gentle acoustic and electronic touches.
Joining her is Katie Lessley, a UT School of Music graduate and member of the acclaimed Conspirare Symphonic Choir, who adds depth and collaborative spirit with her sublime vocal harmonies.
