THE BATTLE FOR KASR TYPHON
“They claimed Lorn V was won. They were wrong.”
When the War for Lorn V ended, the Custodes stood victorious. The surviving factions lay broken across the tundra, their banners buried beneath ash and snow. The golden warriors purged the strongholds, sealed the vaults, and withdrew to orbit — leaving behind a world supposedly pacified in the Emperor’s name.
But the Emperor’s light cannot warm a dead world.
Weeks later, augur readings flared across every fleet still orbiting Lorn V. Deep beneath the ice-crusted equator, the heart of the planet began to stir. From the ruins of the capital — Kasr Typhon — came a vox-signal thought long silenced:
“Kasr Typhon stands.”
The Custodes’ victory had been incomplete. The capital lived.
THE CITY OF IRON AND ASH
Once the pride of Imperial engineering, Kasr Typhon sprawls across a frozen valley ringed by glacier walls. Its outer defences are cratered and broken, its once-proud bastions now half-buried in snow and ruin. Beneath the surface, miles of hab-blocks, manufactoria, and command bunkers form a labyrinth of collapsing corridors and flooded catacombs.
Somewhere below the old command citadel, the city’s primary reactor — the Typhon Core — still hums with unstable energy. Whether it is a power source, a weapon, or something far older, none can say. But its reactivation has drawn every surviving force back to the capital like moths to a dying flame.
