Internationally acclaimed Sunderland born, singer-songwriter Adele Sande, formerly known as Emeli Sande makes a highly anticipated return to The Fire Station to support the launch of Sunderland Music City’s Year of Music.
Adele Sande (AKA Emeli Sandé) , a name synonymous with soulful melodies and profound lyrics, has carved an indelible mark on the music industry. Born Adele Emily Sande on March 10, 1987, in Sunderland, England, and raised in Alford, Scotland, she has emerged as one of the most influential voices in contemporary music.
Her musical breakthrough came in 2011 with the release of her debut album, "Our Version of Events," with Virgin Records.
The album was an instant success, topping the UK Albums Chart and becoming the best-selling album of 2012 in the UK with over 1 million sales . It featured hit singles such as "Heaven," "Next to Me," and "Read All About It, Pt. III”.
