Recycling Drive

Our next FREE event will occur from 8AM until 11AM on June 28, 2025, at Florence Bowser Elementary School (4540 Nansemond Parkway, Suffolk, VA 23435)! The Suffolk Christian Center will be on-site to collect food, toiletries, plastic bags, and donations for their food pantry operations.

At this event, you may responsibly dispose of these items:

• Gently used clothing and shoes
• Electronics (TV's 42 inches or less, No old tube TV's)
• CFL Bulbs
• Batteries
• Plastic bottles and jugs
• Eye glasses and hearing aids.
• Plastic bags
• Glass containers
• Cardboard, paper & magazines
•Household hazardous waste, includes home cleaning products, automotive products, indoor pesticides, and paint. Liquid limit 5 gallons. Must show I.D.
•Document shredding
Protect against identity theft and shred your personal document.
•U.S Flags (to be properly decommissioned).
•Mosquito dunks are available for Suffolk residents - please bring Suffolk ID.
•The Lions Club will also be available to collect hearing aids, eyeglasses and sell brooms
• The Suffolk Master Gardeners will be available to take gently used plant pots.
