Me, Models and Mayhem
Date: October 3 | 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Location: Marling School, Caincross Road, Stroud, GL5 4HE
Tickets: £15 | Not suitable for under 14s
Join us for an evening with Steve Allen, freelance designer and model maker, as he shares 46 years of puppets, models, and mayhem. Fans of The Muppet Show and Star Wars will have the chance to see iconic puppets, props, and models from film and TV up close.
Steve’s journey took him from a shy child to working at The Jim Henson Creature Shop, creating puppets for Labyrinth, designing new characters, and producing merchandise for Fraggle Rock. He later ran his own freelance business, creating puppets, props, and effects for companies including BBC, Hornby, 20th Century Fox, and Pinewood Studios.
Alongside the fun and creativity, Steve also shares the challenges he faced, including stress and a breakdown, and how Longfield Community Hospice helped him through it.
The event is supported by Marling School, who are generously providing the venue free of charge. All ticket sales support Longfield’s work with patients and families living with life-limiting conditions.
Please note: The show contains adult language and stories from the industry and is not suitable for under 14s.
