Farley Hokopaura is a heartfelt singer-songwriter from the west coast of South Taranaki. Since beginning his songwriting journey in 2015, he has been captivating audiences with lyrics and melodies that reflect genuine life experiences and raw emotion.
A regular contestant in the MLT Songwriting Awards and a passionate participant in Charlotte Yates’ songwriting retreats, Farley has honed his craft through years of writing and performing. He’s also a dedicated supporter and performer at Taranaki Singer Songwriter events.
Farley performs both as a solo artist under the name Sun Of Michael and as part of the acoustic duo Pete and Farley, alongside Pete Norris. The duo recently released their debut four-track EP First Offering, available now on Spotify:

You can either perform your song on the night or bring a recording of it to the session.
An acoustic guitar is available on the night or you can just bring your own instrument.
It suits beginners to professionals and it's held at Hāwera Repertory Theatre.
Your host André Manella has been a full time musician for over 12 years, he's part of several original bands (Sonic Delusion & Turkey The Bird), has written hundreds of songs, released 8 albums and played well over 1500 live shows all around New Zealand, Australia ,Switzerland and Germany.
