2025 Stratford SmokeOff and Chili Competition

16th-ish Stratford Smoke Off with Chili Competition to benefit American Legion Post #207 Auxiliary.

There will be 6 Categories: Beef, Pork, Poultry, Dessert/Bread, Wild Card, and Chili. The cost per entry will be $5.

Meal will cost $5 per plate starting after beef turn in and Chili judging around 7:15 pm. The Auxiliary will have ice cream floats after dinner with entertainment following.

The judging will be on Taste (25%), Cooking Quality (25%), Presentation (25%), and Just 'cause/Originality (25%). Turn in times will start at 5pm with poultry, 5:30pm wild card, 6pm pork, 6:30pm dessert/bread, 7pm beef, and 7pm chili. The wild card is for any meat dish with a major ingredient other than one of the other categories.

The Chili is People’s Choice selection instead of a panel of judges.

All entries must be prepared near the park on a grill, smoker, or fire pit on the day of the event. This is a fun event family friendly event. We are not picky and just want everyone to enjoy themselves. Use of propane will be allowed but may be open to ridicule. However, it is better than electric.
