Dear Botfriends members,
The second phase of development at Fisherhaven Academy is now confirmed to begin in the second week of August 2025.
This is happening despite our repeated efforts to highlight the extreme sensitivity of the critically endangered fynbos vegetation on this plot.
As a last resort, we are organizing one final effort to rescue as much of the current plant life as possible—before the bulldozers arrive.
Please join us for this “search & rescue” event.
When: Saturday 2 August 2025, 9-10 AM
Where: Erf 279, Fisherhaven, open field next to the Fisherhaven Academy.
What to bring:
· Outdoor clothes, closed shoes, hat, sunscreen
· Drinking water
· Spades and plant bags/pots
