Arthur Berry's Smallthorne

Local historian and author Mervyn Edwards will present a history walk around Arthur Berry's Smallthorne for Arthur Berry 100 on Sunday, August 10th.

The one-hour presentation will start promptly at Ford Green Hall at 11 am and end at the Moorland Inn, Moorland Road, Burslem.

Admission is free.

Learn what the eminent painter and poet had to say about the Smallthorne of his youth including the local cinema ("the Scratch") and the almost-forgotten open-air swimming baths that were destroyed by Potteries subsidence.
