Roll into fall fun with a celebration of farming, family, and innovation! Craft your own Harvest Tractor with baskets of fall vegetables, farm animals, and cheerful details that capture the season’s spirit. Enjoy the heartwarming story, Grandpa’s Tractor, by Michael Garland, a tale of a grandfather, a grandson, and the tractor that connects them across generations. This project is inspired by the exhibit Caterpillar: Celebrating 100 Years, which highlights Stockton’s own Benjamin Holt and the company he founded, Holt Manufacturing, the origin of what would later become Caterpillar Inc.
2nd Saturday events are designed for children ages 5-12, and feature an enchanting read-out-loud experience and art activity thoughtfully designed for young readers and budding artists! Each session features a hands-on project inspired by the story and a carefully selected book aligned with our exhibits or monthly theme. Reservations are not required, but seating is available on a first come-first served basis. Materials and activities are included with regular museum admission.
