The Urban Room is a pop-up space at the heart of Stockport town centre, created to spark conversation, creativity, and community input on how our borough is designed.

This interactive space will focus on the Stockport Design Code – a new planning tool that sets out our expectations for the design of buildings, streets, and public spaces across the borough. It’s all about shaping the homes and neighbourhoods of the future — and we want your voice to be part of it.
