Future of Governance: From Nation-States to Network-States to Network Nations
Join us for a special public event at Emerge Lakefront where participants of the Network Nations Residency will present their ideas through a series of lightning talks, followed by an open discussion on the future of governance, sovereignty, and collective agency in a networked world.
For the past week, a transdisciplinary group of thinkers, technologists, artists, community builders, futurists, lawyers, entrepreneurs representing have been exploring how network communities can reclaim political agency and prototype new institutional forms - beyond borders, beyond the state, and beyond corporate control.
On Friday, July 18 from 16:00 to 18:00, they’ll share their reflections, frameworks, and real-world questions with the public. Together, we’ll explore how a place like Emerge Lakefront might serve as a living prototype of a Network Nation - and what it means to govern through networks, not hierarchies.
