Welcome to our progressive beginner course in Brazilian Zouk!

This course is perfect for those who want to try the Brazilian couple dance Zouk and learn the basics. Whether you are completely new to Brazilian Zouk or have some experience, this course is designed to give you a solid foundation to build on.
Brazilian Zouk is a Latin couple dance that originated in Brazil during the early 1990s. The dance is soft and sensual, and is characterized by a mixture of playful footwork, fluid body movements and body isolations, as well as head movements for followers.
During the course we will explore different aspects of the dance, and our experienced instructors will guide you through the basic turns, techniques and movements of Brazilian Zouk. You will learn to move in time with the playful Zouk music, improve your body control and how to create a sense of "flow" when you dance. No prior knowledge or a dance partner is required to join the course. We will rotate dance partners during rehearsals and practice so that you will have the opportunity to dance with different people and develop your ability to communicate through dance.
If you only want to dance with your dance partner, that's fine too. Come and experience a fun and inclusive atmosphere where you can meet new friends and develop your dancing skills. Prerequisites
