AFIA Festival is an annual music and dance festival (est.2016) that is celebrating South African culture, with guest appearances of other african/african diasporic cultures!
During 8 days in the beginning of summer in Stockholm city we gather from different cities, countries and continents to dance, talk, experience, battle, jam and club together. As the sun doesn’t set in June in Sweden, our vibe doesn’t either, we continue celebrating unity and love for South African music and dance throughout the whole week. The main subject of the Festival is isiPantsula and South african house music.
ARE YENG! on the 13th of June is our tribute to the women in the industry! The Queens behind the decks! We have no one other than Thandi Draai, legendary producer, dj and vocalist from South Africa and Jolie, vibrant captivating Dj from Denmark and Tanzania! We are also pleased to announce that we have amazing djembe drummer Agathe from France with us aswell!
