Set aside Friday afternoon & evening August 22 for a super fun outdoor cookout at Karen and Warren Gartners' home near Victor. The Gartners are providing grilled burgers and hot dogs, or you can cook a hotdog over the fire. Bring a “picnic” side or salad dish to share, plates, utensils, and beverages. Dessert S'mores and bottled water will be available.
There will be a variety of outdoor games like croquet, Molki, Native American games, Foxtail, tomahawk throwing, etc. You can walk the paths around the 5 acres and enjoy the gardens and birds. If you stay until dark, Karen and Warren can lead night hikes, with sensory activities, star stories and more.
Bring your instruments - guitar, ukulele, and favorite camp fire songs, too. The Gartners have some song sheets with familiar favorites. Seating will take place at their fire pit, so be sure to bring your sturdy deck chairs.
A head count of people attending will be needed by Sunday August 17. Please sign up in the Parish Hall on Sunday August 10 or 17 if you are planning to attend. Carpooling would be great, too, as Karen and Warren live about 45 minutes south of Holy Spirit on Highway 93, near Victor. Check the sign-up sheet to see who you could offer or share a ride with to and from the event.

Take Highway 93 south to the Stevensville light.
Continue on Highway 93 to Indian Prairie – 3.6 miles.
Turn right on Indian Prairie and go to St. Mary’s road– 1.3 miles.
Turn right on St. Mary’s to Mesquite Lane .3 miles.
Turn right on Mesquite and we’re the second house.
Mesquite doesn't have a regular road sign. There’s a wooden “fence” that says Mesquite on the right and “Welcome to the Ranch” on the left.
