Ready to take the mystery out of the tech booth? This free, hands-on workshop is all about the practical side of lights and sound, specifically using the equipment owned & operated by S&B. While we may discuss some aspects of design, this workshop is tailored more toward the technical foundations. This is a workshop for beginners or those new to using our equipment.
We’ll walk you through how to set up and run the exact equipment our troupe uses -- the nuts and bolts you need to confidently set up and run a show. Learn how to connect the systems, configure lighting cues, adjust mic levels, run the sound and light boards, and trigger effects using our sound app. You'll be given time to practice with guidance from the instructor.
Whether you're brand new to tech or just want a refresher, come get your hands on the gear and sharpen your behind-the-scenes skills! After this session, we hope you'll have the skills and confidence to join one of our production teams as a sound or lighting designer and technician.
