7:45pm - 8:30pm - Brief Memorial Moment with Mayor Chadwick and Chief Hessing. Lantern Lighting ($10 Can Purchase and Customize your lanterns. 100% of proceeds go directly to Star Helping Heroes Fund)

Purpose: To honor and raise funds for the Helping Heroes Fund, a discretionary fund for Star police officers and firefighters to help families right here in our community.
Why It Matters
The Helping Heroes Fund is a discretionary fund created to support Star's police officers and firefighters. These first responders often encounter community needs during their duties and currently cover related costs out of their own pockets. The fund provides them with resources to address these needs without personal expense, ensuring they can focus on serving effectively. During the lantern festival, lanterns will be available for purchase, with all proceeds going directly to the Helping Heroes
Fund. Please come hungry, as food trucks will be on-site, generously donating a portion of their proceeds to the Helping Heroes Fund!
