📣 Stamford Canvass Mobilization — Join TRUCT in the Fight for Transit Justice
Stamford is facing a proposed expansion of I-95 that would worsen traffic, pollution, and carbon emissions — and our community is organizing to push back. The Transit Riders Union of CT (TRUCT) is hitting the doors in Stamford to talk with residents about protecting their neighborhoods and demanding real investment in public transit.
Our canvasses at 979 East Main Street are your chance to directly engage with the people most affected, share vital information about the upcoming public hearings, and help turn out a powerful community presence.
Canvass Schedule
Sunday, Nov 30 — 3:00–5:00 PM
Wednesday, Dec 3 — 5:30–7:30 PM
Thursday, Dec 4 — 5:30–7:30 PM
Each canvass is a high-impact opportunity to connect with neighbors, grow our movement, and build momentum heading into the public meetings on December 10 and 11. No experience needed — we’ll train you on the spot.
Why It Matters
The expansion of I-95 threatens to pour more cars, noise, and emissions into Stamford. Residents deserve safe, reliable public transportation—not more highway lanes. These canvasses ensure that community voices are heard loudly and clearly before decisions are made.
