New to parkrun Event

New to parkrun? Curious to find out what it’s all about? Come and join us at Rutland Water parkrun on 31st May 2025 at our First Timers’ event!

❓What is parkrun?
parkrun is a free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. You can walk, jog or run - you’re welcome to come along and join in whatever your pace!

❓When it is?
Rutland Water parkrun is held at Normanton Church and starts at 9.00am. We suggest you arrive at 8.30 to the Normanton Car Park to allow time to walk to the parkrun start for a welcome briefing at 8.50am where we’ll put you at ease and tell you all the information you need to know.
After the event, we’d love you to stay and join us for a coffee in the café.

❓Will I be last?
Totally impossible! We have a tail walker who is last and we regularly have walkers, including our volunteer parkwalkers who support and encourage anyone wishing to walk the course. There will also be a group completing a couch to 5k session who will be alternating between walking and running.

❓How much does it cost?
parkrun is completely free, and you’ll also be given a token for a discounted parking price of £1.
